Catch Up

A double meaning. Yesterdays (this morning’s?) post was part of NaPoWriMo, a poem writing month where all participants post a poem a day. I haven’t written poetry in years (checking… checking… decades) but thought I’d give it a whack. I’ll probably end up with these in their own page at the end – April Songs? How’s that for a title on the fly? Because I’m on this side of the dateline it’s already the 3rd April and I’ve only posted the once. So now you’re all caught up, it’s time to catch up.

Years dead is long enough, before banging on the coffin lid

Breaking into shards and splinters of clean air

Breathe … and breathe … and breathe … calm

Draw the clean air down to the suicker-punched gut and breathe out

Draw energy, release, step up and out. Move on.
